The Details

What You Get

The 6m³ mid skip is our most hired bin — the workhorse of Christchurch renovations. Kitchen rip-outs, bathroom strip-outs, medium building projects and serious declutters all land here. Six cubic metres is enough volume for timber framing, gib board, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry and general demolition waste from a proper-sized job.

Builders like it because it holds a genuine work week's worth of demo waste. Homeowners like it because one bin usually does the whole project — no second delivery, no half-finished pile waiting on the lawn. If you are weighing up sizes, the mid is the safest bet for anything bigger than a single room.

Good For

What Fits

  • Kitchen and bathroom renovation waste
  • Timber, gib board and framing offcuts
  • Plumbing fixtures, baths and vanities
  • General demolition and builder's waste
How It Works

Booking to Pickup

The rear door matters most at this size. Kitchens and bathrooms produce long, awkward waste — bench tops, shower trays, lengths of timber — and walking them through the open back beats heaving them over the wall every time. The door also makes it easy to stack neatly, which means more waste per bin.

Delivery runs from our Hornby base across Christchurch and Canterbury, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 7:30pm. One call to 027 446 1253 locks in your drop; give us as much notice as you can during busy renovation season and we will line the bin up with your demo days.

Fill it level with the rim, keep weight sensible with heavy materials, and ring us for pickup when the job's waste is in. Running a multi-stage reno? Book the collection around your stages — we are flexible on timing when you tell us the plan upfront.

  • Rear-door loading on every skip bin — walk heavy items straight in
  • Smaller trucks that fit narrow Christchurch driveways
  • Open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 7:30pm — closed weekends
Common Questions

6m³ Mid Skip FAQs

For most standard kitchens, yes — cabinetry, benchtops, gib and flooring from one kitchen fit a 6m³ comfortably when stacked well. For kitchens plus bathrooms together, ask us about the 7m³ maxi.
Yes, but load sensibly: heavy materials like concrete and soil low and spread out, lighter waste on top, and keep the load level. If your job is mostly concrete or soil, mention it when you call so we can advise.
